It's a hot afternoon. The cats are sleeping on the window sill. There is not a breath of wind. All is quiet. Then a rumble of thunder. The sky suddenly darkens. A cold wind springs up from nowhere. A few drops of rain begin to fall. The cats awaken and run helter skelter into the kitchen. I sit by the window, watching the marvels of nature unfold.
