I've just been reading about the horrors in factory farms and slaughterhouses. I was truly appalled to read that in some hatcheries, they actually grind up "worthless" day old chicks alive as waste products of the egg industry! The short video clip that I saw sent shivers up my spine! All those innocent chicks tumbling to a gruesome death! Surely there is a more humane and compassionate way of disposing these chicks? It is not surprising that many of us today have lost faith in humanity.
