Mum used to say that what goes out of the mouth is more important than what goes in. After some reflection, I feel she couldn't be more right. A sharp or insensitive word can cause much hurt and may be forever edged in the memory of the one who receives it. It can bring on depression for someone who's emotionally unstable or even angry thoughts of retaliation. Violence is not merely killing each other; it's also violence if we hurl insults or abuse at others. Food for thought, don't you think?
