I wonder how many people are like me. I have in the past few years spent a fortune on umbrellas because I keep losing them. When I leave a place after a meal or after some shopping, I inevitably leave behind my umbrella. Sometimes I retrace my steps in order to retrieve it but most of the time, it's gone. I know I should carry one of those foldable ones which I can easily put in my handbag or shopping bag, but I prefer a large long handled umbrella which gives more shade and which can serve as a walking stick as well. Someone said I should handcuff it to my hand but what if I misplace the key? The answer to this dilemma is probably learning to be more mindful, but then, easier said than done.
