Lucky Us

We had a power failure in the middle of the night this week and of course my air con stopped working.  The heat was stifling and since the table fan could not work either, I was dripping in sweat and the mosquitoes were having a fun time zinging around my ears!  I tried to find my paper fan but couldn't and finally had to settle for an old pamphlet to fan myself.  It took about an hour before the power was restored and thankfully I was able to go back to sleep. Made me realize how lucky we are in these modern times when we have practically everything to make ourselves comfortable.  What a difficult time the folks of yesteryears must have had!
