There was a sudden heavy torrent of rain yesterday evening accompanied by strong winds. The rain lashed against the windows while the trees bent and groaned. It was quite frightening really and I was glad I was indoors at that time. Mum used to say she felt sorry for the hawkers when it rained heavily because they would have prepared all that food with nobody coming to eat it. The storm cleared after about half an hour. Hopefully people were still hungry and looking for food!
