It is that time of the year when turkeys are shivering in their shoes once again It is estimated that three hundred million turkeys are killed in the US each year, many for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Most of them, only a few months old, are sent to the slaughterhouse, they never get to see their mothers again and they inevitably end up on someone's dinner plate. Christmas is a special time for people around the world but sad to say, it has never been for turkeys.
