The Paranoids' Club

It has been more than a year since we were deluged by Covid19.  I must confess I have become rather paranoid since then.  I wash my hands endlessly each day, I disinfect door knobs and handles regularly, not forgetting the steering wheel of my car.  I wipe down groceries before I take them into the house to keep or put them in the sun for some time.  Honestly, this is taking up a lot of my time and energy.  Perhaps I should start a Paranoids' Club so that we can share our fears and get them out of our system, but then, we may be too afraid to meet.  If we did, we would have to come armed with face shields, masks and ppe overalls.  We would have to sit two metres apart and that would mean shouting on top of our voices as some may be hard of hearing.  We would definitely have to bring our own cups, plates, etc. if we want refreshments.  Oh dear, it's not going to be fun and we would probably collapse from sheer exhaustion and nervous tension at the end of the day.  So it's not such a good idea after all.  I think I shall just stay home, after all there's so much to do - now when was the last time I disinfected the door knobs?
