The Mid-Autumn Festival always brings back nostalgic memories for me. As kids, we were very excited during this time because Pa would buy us our favorite cellophane lanterns to play with. We carried them around the garden in the evening while the elders sat close by watching us and munching mooncakes! My favorite lantern was that of a rabbit and I would store it away carefully each year to be used again the following year! "Waste not, want not" was Pa' s motto, one which we have lived by all these years. Thanks to my Pa and Mum, these bygone days will always live in my heart!
