Doing Without the Box

My telly conked out recently and to me, it made little difference since I seldom watch it, except for the news and a Mandarin soap opera which had some incredible scenes, like the hero always appearing from nowhere whenever the love of his life was in distress!  But because he was tall, dark and handsome, I sat before the box five evenings every week, most reluctant to miss an episode until it ended.  Apart from that, I disappear into my computer room after dinner every night. I hardly missed the box.  Neither does my cat, he's too busy sleeping most of the time!
