Say "Thank You"

Sometimes I can't understand why when I pay a compliment to friends about their dress, hairstyle, whatever, they shrug off the compliment with a "Oh, it's only an old dress" or "You must be joking, I look horrible."  If someone were to say something nice to me, I would not hesitate to say "thank you" and spend the rest of the day feeling great. Compliments are wonderful morale boosters but unfortunately, they don't come my way very often ... sigh ...
