Alas, El Nino is still with us despite predictions that it will go away this month. It has been a most unwelcome guest for the last many months causing our electricity bills to soar and drenching us in perspiration every day! Last night we had a sudden downpour in the late hours and four days ago, we had rain in the morning and evening. I had never seen so many smiling faces under umbrellas as they went about on their business, perhaps some were even thanking the gods for the wet bonus! I truly hope El Nino will make a disappearance soon, but I suspect the national electricity board will be sorry to say farewell to it.
