Mum once told me that she was a nun in her previous birth. She lived in a temple but because she did not fulfil her duties to devotees, she was re-born and missed the chance to go to Nirvana. She said she got this info from a fortune teller who seemed to know everything about her. Perhaps the fortune teller was right because when Mum was alive, she spent most of her time praying in temples - a continuation of her previous life on earth? Another morsel of food for thought ...
