Chinese New Year is over and it ended with a big bang for us - our neighbours made sure of that! They set off a long string of crackers which made such a din that our hearing suffered a temporary seizure. Despite the ban on such dangerous toys, they somehow still reach the consumers who seem oblivious of theirs and others' safety. I hope there'll come a day when they are unable to manufacture fire crackers but then again, what makes me think they won't think of something else, perhaps something more lethal?
