Winter Solstice

When we start eating "kuih ee", it means another year is about to end.   Or as someone neatly put it,  the "ber" months (eg September, October )  tell you there are only a few pages left on your calendar.

The elders also say that when winter solstice comes around, we are one year older. Hopefully wisdom also comes along with age and that I'll walk into the new year with a clear heart and positive mind.

There is a Chinese saying which goes something like this: "If you don't do stupid things, you won't end up in tragedy."

That's probably the best advice I've heard in the last few years!

Happy New Year!
