Here Comes the Sun!

All too soon the 15 days of the Chinese New Year are over!  This year, despite the relaxation in many of the Covid restrictions, celebrations were still toned down or tossed out.  No more orange throwing competitions, cultural shows, etc.  Instead, people spent most evenings watching the Covid statistics on their phones!  It has become a daily pastime bringing fear and anxiety to many.  Looking back, how many of us have regrets that we took for granted all the simple joys and happenings of bygone years before the pandemic descended on us?  I for one am grateful I was able to enjoy travelling in the good old days and being able to be in the company of friends and relatives, without having to mask up or practise social distancing.  As I see it, the pandemic has taught us to be more grateful for our blessings and more appreciative of the good things in our lives, which sadly may never be enjoyed so freely again.  So while on this bleak note, let us make the best of what we have today and remain optimistic.  Fear not, the sun will break through very soon....
