The recent rains have made us all housebound and for me, they seem to have increased my appetite and I have this urge to munch something or other off and on while sitting at home. As though reading my thoughts, a kind friend of mine suddenly appeared the other day with two mouthwatering snacks - chicken pie and apple pie which she had bought from the market. It was a lovely surprise for a rainy day and I thanked the good Lord profusely that he had heard my rumbling tummy and sent an angel with the goodies!
