A Thought for Christmas

We used to have a little Christmas tree when we were kids.  When Christmas came, Mum would bring it out of the storeroom, take off the newspaper in which it was wrapped and decorate it with bells, baubles, angels and even cotton wool to represent snow.  We were very fond of it but years later, while spring cleaning, we decided to give it to the Little Sisters of the Poor.  I can't remember why we did that but I did feel some pangs of regret after giving it away.  We never did get a new tree after that, I guess we were too busy with our studies.

So now while we are celebrating, here's a thought for the day:

As Helen Steiner Rice said, "Peace on earth will come to stay, when we live Christmas every day."

Wishing all a blessed Christmas.
