I went shopping for a new ironing board today. I don't know what happened but the old one suddenly collapsed and the hot iron fell to the floor, narrowly missing my maid's feet! Apart from a mild shock, she was not hurt. Mum used to pray every morning for everyone in the house to be "peng aun" (safe) and I have since followed her example. Prayer does help, I guess. It keeps our guardian angels alert and ready for any emergency! I shudder to think of what might have happened if the hot iron had fallen on my maid's feet!

Prayer Helps
