Cruise Notes - 3

We managed to get a plan of the ship and spent some time studying it in order to get our bearings. Soon, we were able to get to where we were headed by the shortest possible route!  There were many daily activities on board.  We saw a bit of the old movie "Grease" which was shown in an open air theatre directly above one of the ship's two swimming pools.  It was really too hot to watch the whole movie, so we left halfway but it would have nicer at night watching under the stars.  The nightly entertainment was alright, I suppose.  The one we enjoyed most was the tribute to Whitney Houston.  Apart from duty free shopping, there were also on board sales - clothes, jewelry, watches going from USD10! They were most tempting but after conversion to our ringgit, I felt they were still too expensive for my pocket!  Maybe I should have tried my luck at the casino and won some money - I didn't know my aunt is an expert at those so-called "one armed bandits". I found to my delight that they're all computerised now and you don't get tons of shillings falling out of the machine when you win!  Well, when you haven't been travelling for some time, there will always be surprises in store.  I was never a gambler and will never be, I hope.   (To be continued)
