I recently came across an old photo of Pa taken while he was hard at work at his desk in the bank. It reminded me of the strict work ethics which he upheld and which he instilled in us when we were growing up. No.1 - If you want anything, you'll have to work hard for it. No.2 - If you want something to be done right, you'll have to do it yourself. No.3 - God helps those who help themselves. Mum often scolded him for taking life too seriously but he seldom listened. Both Pa and Mum live in heaven now but their words of love and wisdom will remain with us for the rest of our lives.
